What is a Notary Public?
A notary public is a state official appointed by the government to determine the identity of the person appearing before them, witness and certify the signing of legal documents.
What type of identification do I need to provide for my notary appointment?
A passport, driver’s license or government issued non-driver identification card which is current and unexpired. It must contain signature and photograph of individual.
A notary public can require an individual to provide additional information or identification credentials necessary to assure the identity of the individual.
What are the common notarial acts in Pennsylvania?
Acknowledgement: Purpose is to identify the signer(s) and acknowledge that he/she signed the document
Verification of Oath or Affirmation: Purpose is to identify the signer(s) and have signer(s) swear or affirm that the statements in the document are true.
Signature Witnessing: Purpose is to identify the signer(s) and certify that the signature belongs to the signer(s).
What are the steps for notarization?
Signer(s) personally appear before notary
Signer(s) have been screened and legally identified.
Signer(s) bring documents to appointment needed for notarization.
Documents are reviewed and have no blank spaces.
Notarial acts are recorded in Notary Journal
Complete notary. Sign and seal notary certificate.

What is your cancellation policy?
It is understandable that sometimes things come up and appointments need to be cancelled. However, if the notary is enroute to the appointment and you need to cancel, only 50% of the service will be refunded back to you.
